Again, I know this has been a long overdue post. I got sick the day after the field trip, good thing it was me instead of DS who got sick as we all knew how hard it is for the kids being sick. Anyway, let’s get down to the field trip activities.
Last January 25 ( Wednesday), Nicco and I were both up early to prepare. As usual, DS is very excited 🙂 Assembly time is 7:00 am. and we were there right just in time. The bus departed a few minutes after 7 and we were at our first stop at exactly 8 in the morning.
First stop: ARK AVILON ZOO
Located at: Frontera Verde, Ortigas Ave., Cor. C-5 Pasig City Contact details: (632) 706-2992, (632) 706-2483, (632)706-2993
arkavilon@yahoo.com.ph
An interactive indoor zoo, it resembles the biblical ark,(NOAH’S ARK) having different wildlife animals.
We waited for about thirty minutes outside since we were told that the staff are still preparing before they accommodate us.
Kids enjoyed some magic tricks from a magician (part of the service from the tour company I suppose), while we wait for the opening of the zoo.
Here’s what you get to enjoy inside the ark zoo.
WHITE TIGER
Another kind of tiger
Koi Fish Feeding
DS posing behind different kinds of birds
A Photo Op w/ Jenny The Orangutan
Feeding the Rabbits and Guinea Pigs
You may also buy veggies for the other animals on the side.
The little boy, feeding the guinea pig, the carrot cost around ten pesos I think.
Domestic Sheep
Pygmy Boer goat
Barbados Blackbelly Sheep
Bornean Pygmy Pig
Wishing well?!
Souvenirs and Gifts Corner
It’s another learning experience for the little boy, getting first hand experience dealing with different kinds of animals, seeing, touching and feeding them. We both enjoyed our stay inside the ark zoo 🙂
Upcoming and second stop: Fort Santiago. Stay tuned for my upcoming post. 🙂
