Manila Ocean Park

I am so behind in updating my blogs with our previous activities last December, hope I could catch up soon with the other ones. For now, let me share first our visit to the Manila Ocean Park last December 27. We went there together with Ate Irene’s family (DH’s sis). We went early before 9 a.m.. Perfect timing as there were only few people then…

The kids really enjoyed the place as they get to see a lot of different kinds of aquatic animals around them. These are their top favorites amongst others:

DS was saying that he saw “Patrick” the pink starfish character in Spongebob. LOL!

This is the only allowed sea creature that you can touch around.

Facts about Star Fish:

Although sea stars live underwater and are commonly called “starfish,” they are not fish. They do not have gills, scales, or fins like fish do and they move quite differently from fish.

While they can’t see as well as we do, sea stars have an eye spot at the end of each arm. This is a very simple eye that looks like a red spot. The eye doesn’t see much detail, but can sense light and dark.

We stayed for quite awhile in the underwater viewing tunnel and did enjoy being surrounded by these aquatic animals. Got some blurry pics because flash is not allowed when taking a picture.

Then off we went to buy at the souvenir shop and we also did avail their 3D picture frame for P400.

Went out the place around 11 a.m and it’s too crowded already. So you have to come early to full enjoy going around.
