Shape of You

2 / 24 / 20

We’ve all been to the point where we neglected our gym days to focus on other things, and before we know it, our body has already gained a LOT of weight. It’s hard to catch up and go back to where you started, right? Losing weight isn’t joke; it requires a lot of hard work, self-control, and a burning desire to get rid of those annoying baby fats. Really, it takes time and effort as well.

According to experts, it takes 1 WEEK just to lose only 1 pound. So if you’re trying to lose more weight, you might need more time. But what if your schedule is always full and you still want to find a way to slim down?  Aside from having a healthy diet, you still need to break some sweat.  But girl, don’t stress out! Grateful First Friday of August!

8 / 2 / 13

We’re now on the eight month of 2013, time flies! Soon enough, it’ll be Christmas. Yay! 🙂 The first few months of this year was quite hard for us financially- debts, bills to pay, household expenses, kids tuition fee and many more! The thing is, our source of income is not enough to fund all of these things, what added to our problem is that our source of funds- my online job that is! wasn’t quite doing well at the same time.:(

We were really scared and really had to struggle to make ends meet. It was really hard to keep one’s spirit high in times of troubles right?! I’ve had bouts of depression then, good thing people around me are kind enough to understand what I am going through. Our family- DH and the kids ,whom we’ve had drawn strength from each other. We managed to get through hard moments. Laugh and cry around together and other things that made us stronger as a family 🙂

Good health is one thing that we are most thankful for. I really think it’s a balance, God won’t really keep us from burdens that we can’t bear. I just couldn’t think on how to survive *knock on wood , if anybody gets sick and we really don’t have money to pay for medical expenses.

SMALL LITTLE THINGS ARE BIG. simple things makes me feel grateful despite the problems and I think that is what matters most. To keep the faith and just move on, surrendering everything to God and bit by bit, things will settle and you’ll get by. Just what’s happening right now, things are getting well. It may not be that big, but enough to keep us in our comfort and peace of mind!

Don’t Give Up

6 / 26 / 13

Good things come to those who Believe,
Better things come to those who are Patient and
the best Things come
to  those who
Don’t Give up

There, nailed it!  I have been low for the past weeks. I believe, it is now to move on and dust off the negativity that has been long nurturing inside of me. I can never be like this for the next couple of days or worst for the rest of my life.

I need to act, move and make things happen!

Things are now falling into place. all I need is TRUST myself, people around me and above all, trust and believe that things will work out well in the end.

I might be in a story weather now, but it can’t rain all the time.

Understanding What Spiritual Retreats Are All About

4 / 9 / 13

P5091038

There are many types of spiritual retreats available. Spiritual retreats are offered based on a variety of religions, and most retreats cater to all religions. Christianity, Buddhism, and Hinduism are all popular forms of spirituality that have specialized retreats for their followers around the world. In Hinduism, a spiritual connection is essential to have a true connection to one’s inner self. Spiritual retreats are often visited by shamanic practitioners, yoga teachers, and practitioners of Tai Chi. Many spiritual retreats have directors as well, which are people that are available to help and guide you along the way to true enlightenment.

Learning What It Means to Attend a Spiritual Retreat

Spiritual retreats are usually peaceful locations that don’t allow the troubles of outside life in. If you attend one of these events, then you can expect to be required to leave the mobile phone and television behind. They are designed to put you at peace with yourself, so that you can reflect to find peace with your life and past. It is a path of self-belief and faith. Contrary to popular belief, these are not places where people wear rags and carry candles as depicted in movies. You can wear whatever you like when you meditate. The staff members at these places are very professional, and you will find that mental freedom is possible and only a grasp away when you begin the process.

Finding a Retreat That You Can Relate To

Every retreat experience won’t be the same, so you will need to find one that works for you personally. The choice you make when you select a retreat will depend on what you are seeking, and what spiritual journey you want to embark on. It is important to research different locations thoroughly, to determine what each one can offer you. Spiritual retreats are not cheap, but they are worth the cost if you find the right one that can really help you. Regardless of which resort you choose, you will be on the road to feeling better about yourself and your life as a whole. You will have plenty of time to think, ponder, and build you inner mind to a place where it needs to be. These places provide wonderful atmospheres, so you will have everything you need to begin the journey. From serene gardens to wildlife on the nature trails, you will have the full experience.

At Poulstone Court we are committed to helping people unwind and focus on their personal health and wellbeing. For more information please visit our website. We hope to hear from you!

Hope and Prayer

1 / 20 / 13

I was asked to go straight to our accountant’s office first thing in the morning last Friday before heading straight to the office to submit some documents. Their office building is just right in front of the Sta. Cruz church.

So I did grab the chance to pass by and lighted  candles before heading to the office.

hope and prayer

It has been ten long years since I pass by the church. I remember I was really so down and low when I last went there. It felt good and light after praying to say thank you and asked for HIS guidance.

Two lighted candle for HOPE and GRATITUDE.

Hope. For my myself, family, relatives, work, friends. For good health and finances. For protection and keeping us always safe and away from harm.

Gratitude. For all the blessings that God has bestowed upon me, my family, relatives, work (online and offline) and friends. For always saving me especially those times I feel being alone and lonely and constantly reminding me that HE is always right beside me come what may.

“The POWER OF PRAYER” …. Believe!

Friday Inspiration

11 / 9 / 12

Source: Uploaded by user via Lourdez on Pinterest

So much for being immobilized for the past days. I’ve actually wasted four days doing nothing at work (online and offline that is!) Oh well, I’ve actually dragged off myself to function and work. Bad!

But I guess, a timeout from it all (work) seems to give a sense of breather for me. Now I am feeling good and in the mood or was it just because it’s Friday today? Ahaha!

Thank God It’ Friday! I hope no more work blues or anything in between will caught me up again to leading me to becoming unproductive and immobilized again.

Work/ Bedroom Inspiration

11 / 8 / 12

Source: style-files.com via Lourdez on Pinterest

After a tiring work schedule from my day job, I always look forward to hitting the bed to take some rest when I get home and I still need to work with some of my online tasks after dinner and rest at night. Juggling my time with my day job and attending to mommy duties, online activities requires some wise time management to deliver on all of them.

I think this kind of bedroom slash office slash work set-up works for me 🙂 I could take a break in between working to lay in bed when my back hurts. Oops, but I guess this won’t work for those who easily falls asleep eh. 😀 That’s how I manage to keep my working schedule works for me.

When things seems not working like I’ve been staring on the PC for more than a couple of hours with only two sentences in my Windows Live Writer draft, I shut off the PC and get off to sleep. Set the alarm clock to wake me up at certain time and I’m good to go again refreshed from a nap or sleep.
