Gabby on TOP TEN
Just 5 minutes ago, I receive a call from Ian telling me that Gabby is one of the Top Ten students from their class! I feel oh so proud of my daughter! and to think she’s the youngest among her class. She’ll be turning 4 this April. I remember having second thoughts of enrolling her at an early age(she just turned 3 when we enroll her at a school where my husband used to study in his nursery grade!) because she might get tired of schooling. But then, It was my FIL (who just died last November 15) who’s very fond of Gabby and even persistent of finding a school for her. Oh my! if He’s only with us he’ll also be proud of her apo! anyway, I know wherever he is right now he’s smiling as if telling us ” mana talaga sa akin apo ko”. I think We’ll give her a reward for being on top ten… Maybe a treat on her favorite spaghetti and donuts! A PINK DONUTS to be exact… Yesterday after i got home at around 5:45 p.m she was so surprised of seing me at an eary time, I used to reach home past six kasi. ALso because, Maliwanag pa ng dumating ako. here goes our conversation:
Gabby: “Mamaaaah”… ang aga mo umuwi ah! hindi pa gabi oh, tignan mo sa labas maliwanag.
Mama : Oo ‘nak. Walang trapik eh.
Gabby: Wala ka na Ofis?
Mama: Oo. tapos na!
Gabby: Nakasagot ka ba sa Ofis mo?! nabigyan ka ba ng star ng Boss Mo?! let me see your star?!
Ian was so amused on hearing her daughter! …. LOL!
Kung Hei Fat Choi
Kung Hei Fat Choi!!! Hope we have this Good Luck all throughout the year of the Rat.
Since It’s Chinese New Year, I’ve searched the net & chanced upon this website:
here’s what it says about my birthday! Im turning 30 on Monday, February 11.
Thank goodness for open spaces, because the Horse needs plenty of room to roam! Energetic, good with money and very fond of travel, Horses are the nomads of the Chinese Zodiac, roaming from one place or project to the next. All of this Sign’s incessant activity and searching may be to satisfy a deep-rooted desire to fit in. Paradoxically, Horses feel a simultaneous yearning for independence and freedom.
Horses crave love and intimacy, which is a double-edged sword since it often leads them to feel trapped. Love connections tend to come easily to Horses, since they exude the kind of raw sex appeal that is a magnet to others. This Sign tends to come on very strong in the beginning of the relationship, having an almost innate sense of romance and seduction. Horses are seducers in general; check out any A-list party and you’re bound to find the Horse in attendance. This Sign possesses a sharp wit and a scintillating presence; it really knows how to work a crowd. Surprisingly, Horses tend to feel a bit inferior to their peers, a misconception that causes them to drift from group to group out of an irrational fear of being exposed as a fraud.
An impatient streak can lead Horses to be less than sensitive to others’ needs. These colts would rather take a situation firmly in hand as opposed to waiting for others to weigh in or come to terms with it. The lone wolf inside the Horse can at times push others away, but this also makes this Sign stronger and is a key to its success. Horses are self-reliant and, though they might lose interest fast in a tedious, nine-to-five day job, are willing to do the work necessary to get ahead.
Horses tend not to look much at the big picture; instead they just follow their whims, which can result in a trail of prematurely ended relationships, jobs, projects and so on. This Sign really knows how to motivate others, though, and get a lot accomplished. Once they find some peace within themselves, they can curb their wandering tendencies and learn to appreciate what’s in their own backyard.
Those of you born under the influence of the Chinese Astrology Element of Earth are wise, serene and prudent, firmly rooted in your morals, ethics and responsibilities. Led by logic rather than emotion, you seek to plan your life as far out in advance as possible, to expect the unexpected and control your destiny down to the last detail. Your disciplined reserve — which can come across as true grace if you work it right — garners you respect and admiration. You’re so bound by logic and dependent upon controlling your situation that you have a fear of the unknown. Consequently, you question your instincts, distrusting even your most cherished dreams and seeing your whims as frivolous distractions. Don’t be a stick in the mud, Earth Signs; share your wisdom and your peace of mind with a needy world.
Ash Wednesday
Today marks the beginning of the Lenten Season. I remember my High school days when after hearing mass one classmate of mine would take a joke on the ashes on my forehead and say ” hoy classmate, may dumi ka sa noo mo!” and I would swipe it out with my handkerchief, forgot that i just had the ash on my forehead.
Many of us doesn’t really know why we celebrate this Catholic tradition. let’s take time to find out why. Maybe it’s time to renew our relationship with God!

Meaning Behind Your Baby’s Name
I remember then when Ian and I was thinking of the name for our first child. As we all know, it is very important for a person to have a name that you will carry for the rest of your life. It serves as your identification and makes you a unique individual.
There are many factors to consider in naming a child. Others name their child after their parents, or their husbands, there goes the Juniors, III, IV…etc..etc.. Some name their child after their favorite celebrity or characters in a movie, television, even in books. Some naman, after the Saints and characters in the bible.
I personally, even search the internet on baby names meanings & their origins. I thought of the name GABRIELLE since she was a girl. I searched its meaning and i was delighted that GABRIELLE = is a feminine form of Hebrew name Gabriel which means “God is my Strength”. I chose LOUISSE as her second name. She was fondly called “Gabby” sounds masculine isn’t it? because i want her to be tough & independent as she grows.
My second baby is a boy. We named him DOMINIC KAROL Dominic means ” belonging to God”. her second name Karol was after Ian’s late mom CAROL. Since he was a boy we changed the first letter “C” into letter “K”! after all, Pope John Paul’s real name was Karol Wojtyla. His nickname is “NICCO” I want “NICKY” sana to rhyme with “GABBY” LOL! but nicco sounds soft naman so ok lang. Because I want him to be a gentle person, for him to express his soft spot qualities! Not for him to become gay naman. Wala lang, I intentionally gave my girl a musculine nickname and my son a gentle name.
Surfing the net
Haay, here i go again with my web browser! kaasar. can’t do my blog efficiently with the internet explorer. ca’nt download naman another browser coz my boss might get mad. 😀
am just browsing other blogs for the meantime and enjoy reading. hope to find ways to fix this up!
My Cowgirl & Groovy Son

I had a hard time focusing on their faces while capturing this frame for them. nakakatawa kasi inis si Gabby sa kakasabi ko ng don’t move! smile ka lang! hahaha!! but it did turn out so cute naman..
Nicco, since birth has thin hair, so he was always called kalbo by others. they would always regard him as” Nicco Boy the Kalbo boy”.
