Goodbye GLOBE Hello PLDT DSL

   After more than a year of suffering from this scenario, where we always have red light on the internet which means that there is no connection, in which btw goes the same with the phone line. We have finally switched to PLDT. Applying in Globe was a breeze as they did install after a few days from the application date. But the problem appears right after a few hours. We did gave an ample time to observe if their system improves but to no avail. I just couldn’t stand anymore the need to rush things out on my online activities when there’s a problem with their system or when it’s raining and I can’t bear to hear those lip service “Sorry for the inconvenience” thingy from their CSR’s.

The PLDT DSL was installed last Friday and the first thing I noticed is that I can now fully enjoy watching on some YouTube videos without waiting for 49 years of buffering like the ones we used to deal with at our previous Globe connection. Sites load faster than before and the phone line is a ok.. We  got the same plan as with the GLobe which is Plan990 Let’s see in a few more days for some other details to appear.. 🙂

How Angry Am I?

I am  so pissed off with my internet provider, GLOBE DSL! I just transferred this blog to its new home and had its own domain, look at the address bar up there. 🙂 The propagation took so long, that I am now using my Smart Bro prepaid in updating this blog of mine. Everybody gets to see this up and running except me. tsk!

This whole process took my patience test to the nth level. Anyway, hope things turn out well with Globe or I’ll need to consume lots of load for this.

So let me take this angry test level now…

Access Denied

I was doing my usual online works yesterday when this popped up on the page I was trying to access..

I did every possible trouble shoot I know, clear cache, restart the modem, uninstall-install browser, and everything I that I googled but to no avail… Now, I can’t access the entrecard. have this happened to you before? what did you do to solve the problem?

Slow Internet Connection

I thought it was just only us who are experiencing a crawl in the internet connection yesterday, we have the pldt dsl, though I have read some that some of my twitter buddies are having the same experience, later in the afternoon connection got worst that it would take 49 years to load a page. lol. I wasn’t able to finish some of my pending tasks online because of that. Just when I got home and go online, our globelines DSL is having the same slow connection. Oh well, it’s all because of the cut in the APCN2 (Asia-Pacific Cable Network 2) Cable which is a undersea submarine telecommunications cable linking several countries in the Asia-Pacific region. It means that its not just us who are experiencing it but our neigboring countries as well (Singapore, Taiwan, China) I remeber same thing happened back in 2006 when the same cable got affected by earthquake in Taiwa. Hope everything turns out well as it has reported that it will be normalized later this evening. Was just amazed to see how people reacted on this, it means that many people are so internet nowadays.

Where’s my PR?!

Well, it’s been almost 7 mos. since I’ve started this blog of mine… Everybody has their own interpretation on how to gain and increase one’s PR. I also have done my thing on this, but my research had only led me to confusion. ahahaha! I tried doing all those step-by-step procedures that they’ve said, but the outcome is still the same My blog has been PR0 from the very start.
The only importance I know and believe about this so called thing is that you’ve got to have a high PR if you’ll venture into this so called “paid blogging” and earn extra $$$.

As for me, I still do earn even if I have PR0. though I know it doesn’t match the earnings of those who have a higher PR 🙂 I am so thankful that there’s still quite a number of people who frequently visits and take a peek into my blogs. I’ve learn a lot since I’ve started to blog, friendships blossoms over the net. This I think are far more important than this PR thingy, right?! Well, I will continue to blog even it remains PR0. Blogging is already a part of me, a part of my daily activity and I intend to keep it for as long as I heart Blogging!
