First for March

3 / 1 / 10

How really time flies so fast we are now on the third month of the year. Many things had happened that I really couldn’t update this blog of mine that much. Wednesday last week, Gabby’s school was caught on fire and so DH went to their school yesterday to follow up the status of their class he noticed that the construction is on going now, he was informed by the teacher that classes will probably starts tomorrow and their summative exam is canceled as they will proceed to their 4th grading final exam by next week. This week will gonna be their review week. February ended not so great as the magnitude of 8.8 earthquake in Chile claimed many lives and properties once again. Yesterday, there was a Tsunami alert on Pacific Rim and that includes some of our nearby localities near the coastal areas, thank God it didn’t happened and hope it won’t happen anytime again. May God keep us always safe and away from harm in the coming days…

Weekend Recap

2 / 8 / 10
Pasalubong

Friday last week, DH asked me to go straight to our parents place in Sampaloc as the kids were requesting that they wanted to see cousin Dwayne. They went there around afternoon and DH bought pansit malabon and Pan De Manila bread as pasalubong.I arrived at around 6 p.m and had a little chit chat with my sister as Nanay wasn’t around yet. We went to SM Hypermarket near JRU along Shaw blvd. to do some grocery. Too bad I wasn’t able to watch the “May Bukas Pa” ending. tsk! tsk! Did stay up late that night and slept around 2 a.m.

Saturday morning, I was nursing a headache as I woke up. Oh boy! it was terrible indeed as I can’t get up from bed. I was only able to laundry clothes before lunch. Slept the whole afternoon with kids. Sunday morning was spent with laundry again and ironing of clothes after. We went to Robinsons Pioneer before lunch to buy some grocery again and electric kettle, had lunch at Mongolian quick stop, we had mongolian beef, spicy squid pasta, friend tofu and ice cream for dessert, love their mongolian burger. Wasn’t able to take snap of the foods that we had as we weren’t able to brought along the digicam with us. We went home around 1 p.m and I slept again from 1:30 to 5 p.m. See how sleepy head I am? lol! Now I am fully charged and was able to catch up on my sleepless nights… have a great week ahead!!!

Weekend To Do’s

1 / 8 / 10

I am still up, trying to finish some tasks that are piling up. I am the only one to blame for rushing things out. I just kept on putting it off and telling myself that I will finish it later and here is the result, the crammer that I am. I am not really good at time management. listing up a To do lists somewhat is helpful to keep track of things I need to finish soon.

As for the weekend here are they:

  • laundry
  • general cleaning
  • gabby’s assignment
  • online tasks
  • update blogs
  • grocery

mostly are household chores and they are really eating out most of my time. hope I could deliver all of these in a jiffy.

Finally

12 / 22 / 09

I am now officially on my holiday mode. lol! Yesterday was my last day of work, glad that the bosses’ told that we’ll go back to work on January 4. So we’ll gonna have a straight 13 days vacation… Our very much awaited vacation! The past week was a very busy one for me.

  • December 18-was Gabby’s Christmas party, we tagged along the little boy and he did enjoy watching her big sister as she leads the prayer for children’s petition and a dance number to the tune of Nobody by Wonder Girls. Box of goodies and gifts arrived straight from Australia, kids were giddy happy seeing and unwrapping their gifts. They got this:

  • December 19-Woke up very early to laundry our clothes and finished some online tasks since I’ll be attending our Company’s first ever Christmas party in the evening. I was assigned to prepare Chicken macaroni salad, I asked DH to do it since I don’t know to make one. poor me! I was able to bring home some goodies and won an Asahi rice cooker in the raffle draw.
  • December 20- went to Shangrila and SM Megamall, went there as early as 10 a.m and went home around 5 p.m. yup, we stayed almost the entire day walking ang shopping around. Kids were really tired that the little boy get cranky and fell asleep as we were about to go home.

bought this one for our desktop, it was really very nice as it makes the table clutter free from wires and cables.

They ran around this nice toy soldier underneath the giant Christmas tree in Shangrila

And this one at the booth of humor post, they asked me to take a snap here: their smile here is really priceless!

  • December 21 and 22- still got to work om this date, but glad that our office hours is from 10-6 and Gabby and I went to my parents place in the morning and left her because she will be going w/ my sister’s husband to their office to get some Christmas gifts from his boss, I picked her up yesterday after office hours.

And today, I’m off to empty the laundry basket and had a general cleaning of our room and will try to finish some pending online tasks later..

15 Days To Go!

12 / 9 / 09

and it’s Christmas! obviously…lol!

DH’s bro-in-law have put already in our sala the CHRISTMAS VILLAGE, and the BELEN on our mini garden before the main door entrance. Oh well, I’m just not so in the holiday mood these past few days, it’s maybe because we haven’t receive our 13th mo. yet! ahaha. and the lists of my “To-Buy” is getting longer as days passed by… Hope the boss will give it altogether with our salary this coming Friday, or we have no choice but to wait till Friday next week. Even the plans of changing tiles for our kitchen was put off, we will just wait for extra available funds to process the renovation. As with the little girl, she was assigned to lead the opening prayer for their Christmas program and was given a paragraph of prayer to memorize. As of now, she was able to memorize two sentences already, hopefully she can deliver it easily on the 18th.

And as for her costume for the program, she will be needing:

  • Red Blouse
  • Skinny maong jeans
  • Santa hat
  • Rubber shoes

very easy to find right?! and most important, very affordable! ahaha. At first, I thought she will be portraying a role of an angel that’s why. hehe… Still got no idea what to give the kids, since their wish (A laptop toy for Gabby and Robot for Nicco) were already granted by my SIL and now in transit. Kids don’t know it yet… till the eve of the Christmas.

Still Wide Awake

10 / 24 / 09

up to this wee hours… It’s been a busy day for me, started my day as early as 6 a.m to do the laundry and help DH in gardening, cleaned our room and kitchen and slept with the kids on their afternoon nap but I ended up sleeping at 3 p.m and woke up at 6. LOL! just in time for our dinner. Watched the Pinoy Big Brother awhile ago and got the feeling that Jimson will be the one evicted at big brother’s house and I was right! Oh well I’m glad th Jason is saved as I was a fan of Jason-Melai love tandem. Ahaha! I think Melai will got a career as a comedienne once she goes out the house. We will be having a simple celebration of DH’s birthday later lunch today. We invited my family and some friends to come over.

Sunday Activity

10 / 11 / 09

I should have been relaxed and at ease but my schedule for today was not met since I wasn’t able to do the laundry yesterday, I slept very late last night to finish my online tasks but were not able to finish them all and I woke up very early to the do the laundry and went to my parents place before lunch. Got home at around 3 p.m and I really felt so tired and sleepy, took a 1 hour sleep and now I am up to finish another round of household chores. Oh well, I need to iron my office clothes and Gabby’s school uniform. I need to sleep early tonight to recharge and be ready for another week of office works! BTW, a relative of DH from YS is inviting us to come over as they have the Las Vegas Show Tickets on hand. OH well, a trip to the US has been a long time dream for us.
