 Whether you get along with your family or not right now, there’s a good chance you feel (or have felt like) the black sheep. In fact, you’re so different from the rest of them that it has made you wonder if you could possibly be adopted. But the fact is, you’re a very independent and individualistic person. You would stand out in any family. |
Things have started to fall back into its proper places.
I have witnessed a friend’s dilemma in her love relationship. Things turned out sour and have to resort in breaking up. The sad fact is that they reached the point of hatred and disrespect to each other.
Where did the love goes?! I just hope that things will turn out fine in the end. So many things have happened that even kids gets affected which should not be for their welfare’s sake. They are trying to settle things out legally and have even taken a paternity testing just to prove that the guy is the biological father of the kids.
I only thought that things like these only happen in movies. But then again, it only goes to show that it really takes a lot to nurture a relationship and building a family is a no joke especially if there are children who will be greatly affected.
My dear son and dear daughter on Monday morning before they head off to DS’ school for the family day. Too bad I wasn’t able to go with them as I can’t take a leave from work :(.
DH tag along the little girl to let her join in the fun and see her previous teachers too. They really enjoyed the family day and as always, were happy to bring home some party loots. Hope that next year,I will be present with them on the family day 🙂
I wasn’t able to stay up late Friday night as I am so tired from a week work schedule. Woke up around 5 am this morning and immediately did some of our laundry while I clean up our room. DH on the other hand was busy preparing and cooking menu for his post birthday Lunch treat. My family came over, mom, my 2 sisters, niece and our youngest bro.
I asked my niece to take pictures of the food on the table as I was too lazy to do so. hee
We had Ube cake (made by Ate Irene), Pork w/ young corn and mushroom sauce, two pieces Baked Chicken with Rosemary and Carbonara (DH’s special piece. LOL!)
We were so full! Everyone was so happy and all praise. DH was now sleeping as they did drink on some beer with my sister’s hubby and some of his friends who came over to greet him. Looking forward to another year for DH, good health and as always I am so thankful that he has now become more mature and responsible father and husband as well. Thank God for hearing my prayers. 😉
My mom and my niece are on their way to the province now to pay the last respect to a relative who passed away. It’s been years since my mom last went to her hometown somewhere in south and we knew how happy she is to visit back and catch up with our relatives there. My brother came to get to the finest cigars that my mom asked me to buy because she will be giving it to our uncle who up until now is known to be smoking such type. He loves the blended and flavored ones. Hope to hear more stories from her in a few days from now. Hope we could pay a visit to them too.
We feasted on this yesterday for the father’s day celebration (DH and Kuya George) and June celebrants ( Ate Irene, Abby and Angelica) It was potluck and DH made the baked chicken w/ rosemary, etc. 😀 We were so full and the foods served were recipes that they learned from their culinary training. The kids of Kuya Ivan came to celebrate with us and we had a great lunch. We tried to call Kuya Ivan via Skype but he’s off to work so we called up Ate Irma and family instead to greet Kuya Clod a Happy Father’s day though Father’s day In Australia is celebrated every month of September. hee and then some talks about their upcoming visit here two weeks from now. Dinner treat s set on July 7 at Greenbelt. We’re all excited to see all of them as it has been quite some time since they went here for vacation and that was 4 or 5 years ago. Kids were so excited for their pasalubongs which they saw via webcam. 😀
All of us will come to a point in our life when we will reach the twilight. As we live this so called life, we have gained so much experience and knowledge. Our greatest treasure by then that cannot be taken by anyone else are the memories that we have. Good or bad things, they have nevertheless somehow touched our lives. Being old is tantamount to the accumulation of many years of fruitful memories and experiences. As we grow old and age, our feelings still stay the same. Only our physical aspects weaken. During this time, we need the support of our family members to guide us and become our aids in everything we do. Laze around, play, eat, have some recreational activity to add up to another unforgettable memories worth captivating. Family bonding moments are always fun and memorable, and a good and nice play is an added bonus that makes it more colorful and worth remembering.
