First Communion Dress

Last week, DD had their pictorial (solo and group picture) wearing their first communion attire. The dress requires a collar and sleeves. Good thing we were able save from buying her a new dress because we got a hand-me-down dress from cousin I. We just have it altered to fit on  her.

We just bought the white bolero, stockings and white shoes. Their actual first communion will be next month/ next year of January 2013. I am excited to witness her in receiving one of blessed seven sacraments of the church.

Snowy Mountain In Australia

I was tinkering on Ian’s photos that he took during his month long vacation in Australia last year. I am about to make a photo book about it. I need to create 3 copies of it for our gift to his siblings this Christmas 🙂

One of his favorite place that they went to is the Snowy Mountain!

He even has to check on PeterGlenn.com for ski pants for his snow suit! Everyone has to be in this suit to enjoy the snow, the ski and of course to beat the cold weather.

I knew he did enjoy it and of course the nice scenery! He said, he could’ve enjoy it more if we are with him to experience it too. I hope and we’re crossing our fingers that we’ll be able to visit Snowy Mountain  soon with the whole family 🙂

Community Helpers

Dear daughter will be having a school activity by next week,  they are required to go to the class all dressed up to their favorite community helper attire. She wanted to be a nurse! So there, she’ll be wearing scrub sets similar to the ones being offered by Marcus Uniforms.Com wherein they offer a wide variety of choices of medical scrubs for men and women.

They will be having a little program wherein they have to prepare a speech in front of class about their dream profession when they grow up. For now,dear daughter wants to become a nurse, then a fashion designer the next time you asked. lol! Oh well, she got a long way to go before she can finalize and realized what she really wants.

Fashion For Young Generation

I don’t know if it goes with the age, but now that I am in my early thirties, I find it weird whenever I see how young teenagers dressed themselves. Most of them dress up inappropriate for their age while other young and reckless teenagers dress up for expression or according to the influence of their peer/group. Their sense of fashion usually goes with what’s in and in trend with what’s latest among their favorite celebrity. So you would often see hip hop, sexy clothes and high heeled shoes for girls in their teens, others still go for the simplest way in their casual attires.

Cleaning Up The Closet

One of the chores that I really need to accomplish soon is to clean up our closet, I have been putting it off for the longest time and those pile of clothes are in badly need of organization. Need to sort out the old ones and take away those that we don’t often use to give space for another new ones just in case. I Just saw my old maternity clothes that are still as good as new. I am thinking if I will give it away or keep it?! Hmmn.. I guess have to resort to giving it away because keeping it would mean there could be another round of pregnancy and we are not prepared for it. lol!

Wearing a Corset

We were watching last night a magazine program on tv and one of the featured story is the benefits of wearing corsets, a piece of apparel worn to hold and shape the upper body. We were quite surprised that not just women are wearing such kind of garment, for there are also men who wear corset too. The main reason for wearing such garment is to achieved a slimmed down look. It is best worn when you  need to wear formal clothes that are body hugging types to hide all those bulges. They’ve shown a proof that you can lose at least three inches off when you wear a corset. It also helps in improving your body posture because moving around in slouchy manner is impossible.
