Hats Off!

Having a long weekend is a chance for me to do some general cleaning of the house. First thing I did last Saturday was to clean the closet. I saw tons of caps from DH’s side of closet. He is fond of caps that it turned out a hobby to collect different kinds of them.

Most are gifts from our relatives abroad and some are bought online. Among his favorite are those jersey cap from his favorite basketball team. He’s thinking of getting an added set of collection and wants personalized hats this time, being able to wear and put up his own design and style. Cool!

Travelling With Bike

DH is a bike lover. He uses it to send DS to school everyday. A great way to save up from transportation fee, environment friendly and a good form of exercise for him. He would take it anywhere he would go, even if it means going to far places :D.

So his brother bought him a suv bike rack that he can use when we go to the province for quick getaway trip next month. Now lugging his bike to the car won’t be a problem anymore it with the new and secured rack for his baby.

Home Projects For 2012

We are so looking forward to finish all the project planning we have for our home this year. We were not able to accomplish a lot last year as we are short with the budget. We’re are on a tight budget, so to speak.

We are optimistic that we can deliver with most of the house projects this time. First, we hope to finish the bathroom makeover that has been put on hold for quite sometime. Second, the kid’s room repair. Hopefully, they can already use their room in the middle of the year.

DH has just started on painting the flooring in our terrace here:

Next will be the wall painting. Some fix and repairs are needed inside the house like pipe leaks, ceiling fix. Summer is coming too in a couple of months so we are looking around on a home service center for our air-conditioning unit. A quality and of good service center like AC Service Ft Mill. Buying a new unit is out of our options at this time. We bought our AC a couple of years ago and it has really served its purpose well. It just suddenly work well, cooling takes sometime to take effect. I guess a little bit of cleaning and fix will do the trick.

New Year Updates

Hello 2012! This is technically my first post for this blog for 2012 :) I got a new theme for this blog too, I wanted to change my header’s font color to match the theme, but will try to do it next time. Ahaha! I’ve been busy (what’s new?!) and trying to cope up with offline activities. Not to mention that I am having a hard time managing my “online time” wisely ( FB stalking, online window shopping, browsing gossip sites, etc. LOL)  But, I am happy to note that the start of the year is pretty good enough for me, online work wise! I am keeping my fingers crossed that it would stay the same for the rest of the year.

As for my family updates, kids are doing ok and so is the hubby. The little boy will be having their educational field trip later this month. Good thing that the places to be visited are just within the metro. We are also looking forward to DH’s brother arrival later this month too. I guess will be busy going some places again when he arrive.

For this year, we hope to accomplish these things:

  • passport application (kids and I)
  • bathroom makeover
  • travel/ out of town vacation
  • setting up our very own business

I am praying on God’s guidance on our plans and decision. Kids are growing up really fast and although we are not financially stable, I thank God that we were still able to manage and cope up with expenses. In God’s will, I know things will fall into their proper places.
