Happy Mom’s Day!

May 17, 2013 Leave a Comment ~ Written by admin

Yes, I am that way behind in greeting fabulous moms out there. Haha! As always, I am caught up with some things offline, so the reason for the lack of updates here. You know, I just don’t feel writing when I feel low for I might regret all the things that I might say later on. I should have saved the space for more positive things to say instead of you reading some sad stories here. :)

As for Mother’s Day celebration last Sunday, we just stay home (again). I did the my weekend routine, laundry, cleaning and catching up on sleep… But, we had a great Caldereta for our lunch!  Recipe taken from the black book (  special handwritten recipes from Ian’s late mom) The Caldereta should have beer as one of the ingredients but since there was liquor ban, it was slashed off from the list. Hahaha!

Wondering how it looked like? I really mean to take a snap of it but kids were too hungry that they couldn’t wait for any photo op to take place anymore. LOL!

Only this yummy Mango Cake from Red Ribbon as their Mother’s Day  gift to me.

The next day Monday, Ian and I went early around 7 am to the polling precint to cast our votes. We were done in less than 10 minutes!

For my senator bets, I wasn’t able to fill up the 12 slots. Out of the 9 candidates, only 7 of them made it to the senate. :) For locals, I voted for my same old bets.

I still got some catching up to do, save that for another post!

Thankful and Grateful

May 05, 2013 Leave a Comment ~ Written by admin

We woke up early today to attend and hear mass for the First Sunday of the month (May). All the May celebrants are asked to go near the altar to get blessings and well wishes before the mass ends. Since it is the birthday month of Nicco, he got blessed and told me “ binasa ako ng tubig” ng pari. Haha!

We had Arroz Caldo with Tofu for breakfast. The weather still is scorching hot as the previous days, so I am really taking advantage to finish all of my writing task while the a/c is on! because I can’t really sit in front of the computer working for a long period of time with only the electric fan on. I am so looking forward for the hot weather to end soon.

I am also thankful and grateful that we were able to surpass another challenge. God really provides!  Now that both of the kids will be going to the same school and that would mean more expenses. Ian and I were looking for other opportunities where we could earn more.

Since my salary from my regular day job and online gig are not enough, we are thinking of venturing into a small business. We are praying for God’s guidance on this. I might be resigning to help him around (in which I really don’t mind) or I might look for another job that doesn’t really eat up most of my time for travel alone. Or much better if I can work from home.

For now, I just let things flow. God willing, things will fall into proper places.

Holding on and Keeping the Faith will help us go through in all these things.

First of May Happenings

May 01, 2013 Leave a Comment ~ Written by admin

The month of April is a roller coaster ride for me, I don’t really know how I am able to cope up with all the turn of events. I just feel like going with the flow, closed my eyes and felt the rush of things around me.

My thoughts were filled with fear and doubts that I am close to giving up, I am so thankful that people around me were kind enough to understand what I am going through.

Last April 9 my father passed away and I came to realized how short life is, you just a see person one time and in a snap of time, he’s gone. Only memories are there to remember, and we’re all thankful that it was a happy and full of love.

Catching up is what I do now.

For the first of May, it’s all about LIFE.

  • Gia (Ian’s niece) just gave birth to Xie wei, a healthy baby boy as cute as his older borther Xian :)
  • Birthday of Kuya Ivan (Ian’s older brother)
  • Holiday (Labor Day) means no office work today! Yey! haha!
  • Today is the feast day of St. Joseph, The worker and it’s our town’s fiesta!

Work wise, I got some writing to-do’s and I am happy =) I am crossing my fingers that there’s more to come. I am saving up for the kid’s tuition fee and their other educational expenses.

So, Hello May! Please be good to us! ;)

A Little Update

Apr 19, 2013 1 Comment ~ Written by admin

It has been ten days since my father passed away and I still couldn’t take a grasp that he’s finally gone… And that what’s only left is his memory. I find comfort in doing flashbacks of happy memories of him with us during my childhood years.

Those good old days that we used to share when life is less complicated for us his children. Loving memory that is!

The realization that someone so dear to you is no longer physically around is quite hard to bear. I can only find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace with our creator.

Moving on, though I still feel quite low with the overwhelming things going around me, added the terrible hot weather, yes, I just really have to put that! :D … Still struggling to find ways on how to cope up, work wise and finance wise! Kids enrollment is just around the corner, not to mention both of my kids’ birthday this summer. So I am really crossing my fingers that work gigs will pick up this time around!

Hello April!

Apr 07, 2013 Leave a Comment ~ Written by admin

One week late greetings I know! ;) If there’s one thing that sums up on how did my first week of April went…HOT! Literally and figuratively. I just can’t really stand the terrible weather. Whew!

Last Friday, April 5 was the hottest recorded so far at 35.4 degrees Celsius! That was also the day I had to do an out of the office errand :( . You see, I need to go to our accountant’s office to submit some documents and I had to ride public transport (LRT and Jeepney). So imagine how exhausting it is to commute. If there’s one thing I hate about my job, that’s is  going out to travel especially during the afternoon’s (peak of the terrible heat of the sun that is!)

On the brighter side, I felt I lost weight with all the perspiration and exhaustion brought about by the hot weather. Haha!

***On family updates, Nicco had his entrance examination for grade one last April 3.According to Ian, It lasted for two hours. Yes, two hours!!! I remember I only took a one hour examination for  college entrance exam. LOL! The little boy said, he was able to answer all the questions. We’ll get the results on Monday.

Gabby, on the other hand is getting impatient as she waits for her Polymer Clay. Yep, she’s been into this art clay craft and  watching YouTube videos on How to create your own charm using polymer clay is her favorite online activity! The thing is, I ordered a starter kit and a gloss for her in a FB online store that she saw. I paid and deposited the money first thing in the morning last Thursday hoping to receive it anytime the next day. The seller said that she’ll inform me once the shipping is done. But I haven’t heard of her until this time :(   the little girl is kinda upset now.

April is the birthday month of DD, she’ll be turning nine years old on the twenty seventh! While the little boy will be seven by next month! So I am really hoping and praying for a fund so we can treat them something special on their birthdays!

That’s it for now, were off to an early First Sunday Mass for April. April celebrants will get birthday blessings after, the little girl is excited now. :)
