NOVUHAIR Turns Favor with Holiday Bash Promo

12 / 18 / 17

So you’ve got your festive outfit set and the fancy gift wrapped for your “monito” or “monita”. All that’s left undone is a party season-perfect hairstyle.

The fresh out of the shower look can be seductive yet temporary. Blame it to tropical climate, it can spoil your appearance, besides making you feel sweaty and stale. The heat and humidity brought about by extreme weather condition, likewise, dries out the locks easily and make it more fragile.

Adding damage to your delicate strands are the chemical contents of various products on hand. From shampoo to conditioner and hair treatment, down to styling goods to groom it to your liking, their harsh synthetic materials jeopardize the natural oil and luster of your mane.

Because you are what you eat, the fate of your crowning glory is in the plate. Your diet must have the correct balance of vitamins and minerals to supply hair with all that it needs to become shiny and strong. So don’t overindulge, especially this time of the year when gastronomic feasts are spread almost everywhere you go. Be careful on what you take in, thinking that it’s also what you feed your ‘do.

Even stress can wear off the beauty and health of the tress. And that’s exactly what you should avoid this Yuletide season. Never put pressure on yourself just to please everyone. Just take it easy, let your hair down and party all night long.

In this time of gratitude, NOVUHAIR makes everyday “a good hair day” for its valued patrons like you with its Christmas and Year-End Promo. Get an extra NOVUHAIR Herbal Shampoo 200 ml. worth P1,040 for FREE if you buy a NOVUHAIR 3-in-1 pack at participating WATSONS stores nationwide (DOH-FDA CCRR Permit No.: 967 s. 2017).

Packed with 19 natural ingredients—mostly standardized herbal extracts, essential oils and co-factor nutrients—NOVUHAIR Topical Scalp Lotion does not only help prevent the hair fall malady, but also aids in stimulating hair growth. NOVUHAIR helps prevent hair loss, improve overall appearance, promote nourishment and rejuvenation. It is clinically-tested and proven safe and effective.

Opt for the best with this Christmas and Year-End promo. Whether it’s a luxury gift for your loved ones, or a self-indulgent treat for you, NOVUHAIR has the perfect gift to inspire and keep you party-ready this Holiday season, while providing you with the ultimate styling result.

8 Awesome Gifts for Gluten Free Food Lovers

11 / 19 / 16

When one is stuck for ideas for a gift, food and drink are always a safe bet, and armed with the knowledge of what the recipient prefers, it is easy to put together a nice hamper, something that always goes down well, whatever the occasion. Yet there are many people who suffer from a gluten related disorder, and certain foods must be avoided. Gluten is a substance that gives dough elasticity, and is present in many western foods, and many people are allergic to this, so if food is on the list of gift choices, here are some excellent ideas.

  1. Glutenfree Christmas hampers are ideal for those who are allergic to gluten, and with so many items to include, one can tailor the hamper to suit the recipient. One can include alcohol if it is appropriate, and the selection of goodies are all gluten free, allowing that special person to enjoy the festive season without worrying about what they are eating.

  1. A special version of the traditional Christmas pudding that is gluten free will certainly bring joy to the recipient. Typically, the Christmas pudding is something that has to be avoided by anyone who has a gluten related disorder, and that kind of puts a damper on the annual celebration.

  1. A selection of dairy products is always a good choice for the person who is intolerant of gluten, and with a wide range of dairy based goodies, it is sure to be most welcome. For a stunning range of hampers and baskets, visit http://www.thebasketpeople.com.au/ and the ideal gift can be on its way in no time.

  1. A yule tide hamper is full of traditional Christmas fare, and it is all gluten free, even the Christmas pudding, and with a bottle of sparkling wine, the celebration will be complete.

  1. Chocolate Christmas pudding is a novel idea, and what’s more, it is gluten free. Add to this some excellent custard sauce and the whole family can enjoy a great festive dessert. A gluten free hamper can contain many items, so it is easy to fill it with things that the recipient prefers.

  1. A special Jingle Bells hamper is guaranteed to put anyone in the festive mood, with a generous portion of gluten free Christmas pudding, along with chocolate and pretzel snacks, and one can always include their favourite wine to make the holiday a special occasion.

  1. A fine selection of beers or wines will always be welcome, and one can add some gluten free Christmas pudding to make it a little special. No one wants to miss out on the traditional dessert, and with so many ingredients, gluten is usually present, unless it is gluten free, of course.

  1. If food isn’t preferred, one can always give a hamper filled with soaps, lotions, and other delights, and there are choices for both sexes, and of course, don’t forget to add some gluten free Christmas pudding, which will certainly be most appreciated.

Food hampers do not have to be avoided by those who are gluten intolerant, and with an efficient delivery service, the gift will arrive on time, complete with a card and a message.

5 Budget-Friendly Christmas Gift Ideas

10 / 1 / 1610 / 3 / 16

It’s officially the last quarter of the year as we enter what is normally considered the holiday season. Temperatures have been steadily dropping, nights come earlier, traffic gets worse and malls have started displaying holiday decorations. You can now even hear Christmas songs on the radio.
And while it is touted to be the “most wonderful time of the year”, it can be as polarizing as it is uniting. Stress levels are at an all-time high, with people cramming last-minute gift shopping using catalogs, worrying about how to attend all the parties they’ve been invited to (or worrying about the opposite – they haven’t been invited to anything!), and thinking of ways to give something to everyone.
If you are someone who doesn’t have a stable job that will give you a hefty budget for presents, here are some budget-friendly gift ideas that would not let you start the new year bankrupt, or worse, in debt.

1. Gift of service.
Nothing beats being personal by giving oneself. For people close to your heart, you can readily offer a gift of service! You can give “gift certificates” redeemable in a given period to your husband or parents for example (if you are the child) with services such as: free shoulder massage, breakfast in bed, a car wash on a weekend, a week’s worth of laundry, lawn mowing or gardening, doing the groceries or even cooking dinners for a week. You don’t have to spend anything but your time and effort.

2. Handmade gifts.
Anything handmade is precious. It is a one-of-a-kind present that cannot ever be replicated. Try doing something you are good at – whether it’s a poem (have it framed!) or scented candles or soap (that you have been doing!).

3. Keepsakes.
Instead of giving photo frames, make it sentimental – add a photo in the frame! Digital photos sadly do not get printed most of the time, so giving them a printed keepsake of a memory is double the gift! Take it one step further and make a photo album or a scrapbook out of your pictures together – whether of an event or a trip.

4. Anything personalized.
Those mugs, pens, kitchen towels might come cheap and look ordinary but when customized with logos or names become treasures. Give something useful and make them pretty – make it theirs.

5. Box of little things.
If you run out ideas, assemble themed boxes. If you have a garden lover, assemble a box of seeds, gloves and a basic set of gardening tools. Movie fanatics would appreciate a subscription to a video rental, movie passes and popcorn boxes with tumblers. These little things are inexpensive but when taken with other related things, make for one thoughtful present.
Remember that at the end of the day, it’s always the thought that counts. People would often get overwhelmed with the number of gifts they receive but they will never forget how thoughtful gifts, no matter how small, are when they are given something they know was done with effort and love.

5 Reasons Why a Plant is a Better Gift Than Cut Flowers

9 / 26 / 1510 / 3 / 15

Giving plants as gifts is more popular than ever, but more people are moving away from giving one another cut flowers and opting instead to give living plants. What are some of the reasons why a plant from a place like The Gluttonous Gardener is a better gift than cut flowers? Continue reading for just five reasons.

1. The Gift Recipient Can Watch It Grow

One of the best things about a live plant is the fact that you can watch it grow for months or years to come. So what starts off as a small plant can eventually grow and bloom into a really eye-catching, beautiful centrepiece in your gift recipient’s home. Plus, the recipient can watch it grow as a direct result of his or her great care of this living thing, thinking of you every time he or she sees the plant.

2. It Will Last Longer

A plant that can last for years is in contrast to cut flowers, which only last a few days before withering and drying out only to be thrown into the trash and be forgotten. So rather than giving someone a bouquet of flowers that can bloom when placed in water, why not get them the whole plant so they can watch it grow and bloom over and over again with each passing year?

3. It’s More Environmentally Friendly

With more people becoming increasingly eco-conscious, live plants, rather than cut flowers, are becoming more popular. This is because a good portion of cut flowers that are sold in shops are actually imported from other countries, and this requires a lot of fuel that results in pollution. The plants are often grown unsustainably and foreign workers may not have labour protections, making low wages while being exposed to harmful chemicals and pesticides that aren’t only bad for people, but bad for the planet. And all of those cut flowers end up in the trash sooner or later, whether they’re sold or not, resulting in a lot of waste

4. There are a Variety of Choices

When it comes to plants, there are so many choices available. You can give someone a baby palm tree, a succulent, or a flower-producing plant that will bloom beautifully and fragrantly on a regular basis. The same options aren’t available as cut flowers, so you have a lot more choices and more variety when shopping for live plants to give as gifts than when you shop for cut flowers at a florist.

5. It Can Be Planted in a Garden

Finally, your gift can be planted in the recipient’s garden, provided that the conditions are optimal and that the weather throughout the year will allow the plant to thrive. So in addition to watching the plant grow in a pot inside the home, it can also grow even more beautifully surrounded by other trees, shrubs, and flowers outside.

With so many great reasons to give live plants rather than cut flowers as gifts, you can start creating unique gifts for every special occasion and every special person in your life.

Fine Jewelry Gifts

1 / 9 / 146 / 8 / 14

Although the holiday season is over, we still got gifts arriving from friends and clients. Dear daughter jus got a nice necklace from one of her godparents yesterday. I haven’t given the husband any gift yet. lol! So it gave me an idea to why not give him a necklace this time around.

I was led to choose from collections here at Reeds, there are many necklace with stainless steel  bead chain to choose from. I am pretty sure that DH would love to have one. What’s also good in buying from the site is that a percentage of the sales will be donated to the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation, a non-profit organization that promotes the conservation of our oceans and nurtures the next generation of marine scientists and guardians of our seas. So there, it’s like also helping out too! A good cause out of buying a gift.
